"The layout of China's plastic processing industry on One Belt And One Road has a very bright future." Guo Yongxin, party secretary of the China Light Industry Information Center, said at the Plastics Industry Conference 2017 in Hangzhou.

 

 

 

In 2016, China exported us $144.993 billion to countries along the belt and Road, including US $17.462 billion of plastic products. Plastic products in the "One Belt And One Road" countries along the export accounted for 12.04% of the total.

 

 

 

In the first quarter of this year, China's exports to countries along the "One Belt And One Road" totaled us $33.579 billion, up 11.25% year on year. Among them, the export of plastic products reached 4.078 billion US dollars, up 11.36% year-on-year. The export volume of plastic products in countries along the Belt and Road accounted for 12.14 percent of the total, and the export growth rate was higher than the average of the whole industry.

 

 

 

In particular, expanding the export of plastic machinery and strengthening international production capacity cooperation are also important countermeasures for the sustainable development of the plastic industry.
